CAREERS IN JEWISH STUDIES

A minor in Jewish Studies combined with an appropriate major can prepare students for employment in a variety of Jewish agencies and for general human resources positions. Some career options include the following:

• Education — Jewish day schools and college level teaching
• Social work — Jewish Family Services and other human resource agencies
• Journalism — The Baltimore Jewish Times and numerous national and local Jewish publications
• Fundraising — Associated Jewish Charities and other charitable organizations cross the us
• Curating — Jewish Museum of Maryland, NYC, holocaust museum, Philadelphia
• Counseling — Jewish Vocational Services

Opportunities may also exist in the fields of Law; Nonprofit Administration; Biblical and Archeological Studies; Business Administration; Psychology; Philosophy; Political Science and Library Science; Rabbinical Education;  Science; Medicine.
