Ardys D. Russakis, Associate Director, joined CGIS in 1996 as a GIS Specialist. As program manager of all CGIS projects, she helps maintain CGIS's reputation for competence among clients, vendors, partners, and official entities by setting standards for excellence in service and deliverables, and developing and maintaining infrastructure to support business processes. She plays a major role in strategic planning for business development and fiscal management and assists with expanding Towson University's role as a state and regional resource for GIS services, applications, and training. Since 2009 she has served as Principal Investigator for the Towson University role in the Maryland Broadband Mapping Initiative, a project component of the federally funded state broadband initiative managed by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration. Ms. Russakis earned an MS in Organization Development and Strategic Human Resources at Johns Hopkins University, and a BS in Geography at Towson University.
