Biography
Susan K. Wooden, Manager of Writing, Editing, and Technical Communications, joined CGIS in 2001 as Technical Writer and Editor. She participates in organizational development by researching opportunities, coordinating the proposal process, and working with the Interaction Architect and Design Manager on marketing and communication initiatives. She produces website text and diverse documents, including articles for outreach and trade publications, white papers, and help and tutorial text for software applications. She also serves on application and data development project teams. Current projects include the Maryland Broadband Mapping Initiative, "Strengthening the Maryland GIS Inventory in Ramona," and several website and marketing projects. Previous projects include the Maryland Food System Map for the Johns Hopkins University Center for a Livable Future, the Statewide GIS Inventory Challenge, the Regional Catastrophic Preparedness Grant Program project with the University of Maryland Center for Health and Homeland Security, United States Geological Survey Cooperative Agreement Program projects, and the Statewide Hazard Analysis and the Multi-Hazard Risk Assessment for the Maryland Emergency Management Agency. Her credentials include an MS in Professional Writing at Towson University, a BA in Professional Writing (summa cum laude) at University of Baltimore, and an AA in Interdisciplinary Studies (Honors) at Community College of Baltimore County, Essex.
