Assistant Vice President for the Division of Innovation and Applied Research Executive Director, CPS
Jeff serves as the Assistant Vice President for the Division of Innovation and Applied Research as well as the Executive Director of the Center for Professional Studies (CPS). In these roles, he is responsible for managing a dynamic team dedicated to delivering the highest quality training and educational services through innovative and customized instruction designed to meet the needs of industry. Jeff is responsible for the University's non-credit learning and consultative services including continuing education and professional studies, workforce training, and the Osher Lifelong Learning institute. In addition, he oversees the development of new projects and initiatives for the Division including the Towson University Professional Leadership Program for Women, the TU Teacher Professional Development Center, as well as the formalization of programs in Executive Education. Jeff coordinates partnerships with corporations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, military, small business, and other enterprises throughout the area to provide professional consultation, customized training programs, and hosting services for a full range of events and activities.
Jeff brings a number of years of experience at both the state and federal level focusing on the development of corporate and government partnerships, grant management and workforce development programs. Most recently, Jeff was the Director of the Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Program, and prior was Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Division of Workforce Development and Adult Learning at the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Jeff has worked for the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services and as an aid for Senator Barbara Mikulski. Proudly, Jeff is a two-time graduate of Towson University, earning his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and his Master's Degree in Social Sciences
