Wayne Hart serves as the Director of the Office of Information Technology Services for the Division of Innovation and Applied Research at Towson University . In this role, Wayne serves as the single point of contact and principal advisor for all information management and information technology matters for the division. He oversees the overall strategy, formulation, and rationalization of multi-million dollar computer engineering and information technology projects. Wayne provides policy, direction, support, and guidance for staff; supports acquisition of major computer systems, complex network operations, integrated hardware and software, computer systems design, application management, network architecture development and testing, internet/ intranet, and the deployment of new technology products.
Prior to stepping into the Director role, for 14 years Wayne served as a System Engineer III. In this role, his primary focus was as an exchange administrator. Wayne served on several projects, including the Maryland Vehicle Administration where he helped developed and maintained 11 kiosks located around the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area. Additionally, Wayne played a major role in the virtualization of the Division of Innovation and Applied Research. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the division and has received certifications such as MCSA, MCTS in Exchange 2007, and VSP in VMware.
