Featured Services

colleagues looking over a documentBusiness Process Management

This service aims to help organizations communicate effectively. The documentation usually includes both narrative and visual depictions of a particular process, with enough detail to meet the needs of the reader. The documentation process involves reviewing existing documentation, interviewing persons with knowledge of the process, researching other methods to learn why the process is needed as well as how it is structured, and working closely with employees to further learn about the process.

Technical Writing

Clear, concise writing that is tailored to its intended audience allows businesses to accurately convey their purposes. RESI has expertise in creating a wide variety of document formats that are developed with the target audience in mind.

Featured Recent Project

Maryland's Department of Information Technology (DoIT) is responsible for overseeing the State’s major IT projects. As the State moves forward on technical projects, the need for DoIT to have streamlined and easily understandable documented processes has increased. RESI's Business Analysis and Management group was asked to refine DoITs processes for proposal development to provide all state entities with a standard format.

There is an art to taking information from various sources and making it into a coherent, readable, understandable and USABLE document. Working in collaboration with DoIT staff members, RESI:

  • Documented best practices for agencies to use when writing Task Order Request for Proposals (TORFP) and Request For Proposals (RFP) such as how to write a good quality “Minimum Qualifications” and “Requirements” sections.
  • Wrote Standard Operating Procedures for the oversight of major Information Technology Development Projects as it relates to the SDLC process.
  • Organized and clarified important information and processes used by DoIT into easily readable format.
