Expertise

The Regional Economic Studies Institute (RESI) provides a vast array of economic consulting analyses to a wide range of public and private clientele. Some of the core services provided by RESI include fiscal policy analysis, economic forecasting, economic impact analysis, market feasibility analysis, laborshed analysis and human services policy analysis. In 2006, RESI secured Towson University’s designation as an Economic Development Administration (EDA) University Center. The designation, made by the U.S. Department of Commerce, was awarded in recognition of RESI’s economic analysis and economic development experience. In recent years, RESI has become very familiar with BRAC 2005 and the associated opportunities that the Department of Defense (DoD) movements offer for the State of Maryland.

Combined, RESI’s team has over 25 years of experience in applied economics. In addition, RESI’s association with Towson University is a mutually beneficial partnership allowing the exchange of ideas and expertise across varied fields of study. Professors and RESI consultants often partner to provide expert knowledge and resources to clients as necessary. This pool of experience has enabled the group to be quite comfortable conducting research and making conclusions and recommendations based on the best information currently available.

RESI dedicates itself to providing the highest level of services to decision-makers in the private, public and non-profit sectors. RESI emphasizes an interdisciplinary approach that combines knowledge with technology.
