As the Associate Director for RESI's Applied Economics division, Raquel Frye is responsible for the overall project management of the group and provides support in the development and execution of client projects. Prior to this role, Ms. Frye worked as an Economist and contributed to several studies including a study commissioned by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) regarding the role of energy efficiency spending in Maryland. Ms. Frye also contributed to the production of economic forecasts and indices for the State of Maryland. In addition, Ms. Frye was the project lead and co-author of several market and feasibility studies for private clients.
Prior to working at RESI, Ms. Frye worked for the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) in two capacities; as a Project Manager and a Governor's Policy Fellow. The Governor's Policy Fellowship program was designed to bring young graduates to state government. As a Project Manager, her main responsibility was managing the process for funds distribution and the evaluation and tracking of local grantee performance.
Ms. Frye received her M.A. in Economics from Georgia State University and a B.S. in Economics from Florida State University. Ms. Frye is passionate about adult education and in her spare time teaches introductory economics courses at Towson. Outside her working life she enjoys cooking, tackling puzzles and kayaking.
