Larry Martin joined the Division of Innovation and Applied Research in 2001 and is currently Managing Director with the Information Technology Services team. Larry oversees Project Managers, Business Analyst and Research Assistants. He serves as the project manager for many contracts and grants in Information Technology and educational projects. Additionally, Larry serves as the project manager for the Center for Application and Innovation Research in Education, a research center evaluating educational advancement.
Larry has more than 30-years-experience in Information Technology including system design and integration, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Business Process Management, contract development, resource management, change management, software development, electrical and mechanical engineering. He has managed projects through the System Development Life Cycle for private and state agencies and has led teams in the development of proposals, requirements gathering, business process reengineering, system level documentation, design, implementation, integration and deployment. Many of these projects have been to strict standards such as DoD specifications, Federal Acquisition Requirements, Software Engineering Institute, Project Management Institute, ISO9000 and State of Maryland specifications. Larry has a bachelor's degree in Economics from Towson University and has graduate-level work in the field of Information Technology. Larry enjoys camping and golf.
