As an Economist for RESI, Susan Steward has contributed to a variety of projects including a study commissioned by the Maryland State Arts Council regarding the impact within the state of Maryland of Arts and Entertainment District designations over a ten-year period. Ms. Steward also contributes to the production of economic forecasts as well as a weekly industry outlook article featured in the Daily Record newspaper of Baltimore City. In addition, Ms. Steward recently has been the project lead on local area forecasts within the Maryland region.
Prior to working at RESI, Ms. Steward worked for Random Walk Trading, LLC as their resident economist. In this capacity, she managed a survey results and marketing analysis of consumer responses to products purchased. Ms. Steward was also in charge of producing probability lists of clients who may be interested in similar products as well as construction and maintenance of a client database. Ms. Steward was also in charge of assessing the potential for new clients and product success based on parameters associated with past client purchases for similar products. Ms. Steward's primary responsibilities included but were not limited to the data collection, analyzing, and reporting the overall potential for new products within the current client base.
Ms. Steward earned her B.A. in Economics from Salisbury University and a M.S. in Applied Economics and Econometrics University of Delaware. Outside of her exciting work as an economist, Ms. Steward enjoys Taekwondo, Baking, Bad Sci-Fi movies and making cameos in student films.
