Jess Lake joined RESI in 2012. She is on the Business Analysis and Management team as a Research Assistant. She spends the majority of her time working with the Center for Application and Innovation Research in Education (CAIRE) on its evaluation of Maryland's Race to the Top projects. In this capacity, Jess conducts background and internet research, contributes to reports, assists with the development of surveys and research procedures, prepares presentations, compiles data, and performs other duties as needed.
Jess Lake recently earned a B.A. (with honors) in Sociology from Brown University. During her undergraduate career, she had several jobs and internships that provided her with experience in conducting research, examining the education system, developing organizational systems, and analyzing social issues. Additionally, she was awarded the Sociological Methods Prize for her senior honors thesis. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her dog, sky diving, and overcoming the challenges of being a left-handed person in a right-handed world.
