Why are International students placed on the first four floors only?
International students are placed on the first four floors of the Residence Tower to allow students to stay during the vacation periods (Thanksgiving, Easter, winter and summer break). We understand that many of International students cannot return home each vacation period and therefore we keep the first four floors open all year. During this time the rest of the building is closed down and students on floors from 5 to 13 have to move their belongings out.
If I plan to return home in the vacation periods or plan to live off-campus, can I live on an American floor?
Yes. If you are prepared to move out as American students are asked to do then we can place you on an American floor if there is an opening.
