Transfer F-1 Status from Current School

If you will be transferring your F-1 status from another U.S. institution, you must complete a Transfer Eligibility Certificate (TEC) and submit it to the ISSO by fax at 410-704-6040 or via regular mail at: International Student & Scholar Office; 8000 York Road; Towson, MD 21252.


The International Student & Scholar Office (ISSO) mails important information with your Form I-20 in your pre-admission packet regarding the necessary steps you must take and some additional suggestions when preparing to come to Towson University.  Please notify our office by emailing us at if you have misplaced this information and would like us to send you an electronic copy.


Orientation events are held the week before the semester begins and include mandatory programming for all new and transfer international students. Additional information about these events is emailed to incoming students about one month before the semester starts. The orientation week schedule will be posted once it is finalized.
