Wellness Center

Towson University Wellness Center is a dynamic component of the Institute of Well-Being. We combine expertise in exercise physiology, nutrition, counseling, health education and research to bring you the best wellness experience possible. Our faculty and staff are nationally recognized and contribute to world-class programs, research and services that we specially design to help our members achieve optimal health. Members experience programs that are comprehensive and completely individualized to meet their needs.

All members receive the following:

  • Exercise and health risk evaluations
  • National standardized biometric assessments
  • Effective exercise and nutrition programs
  • Access to expert panel discussions on health and wellness
  • Continuous support as well as instruction and follow-up for success from our professional staff

Wellness program specialty offerings include the following:

 

Clinical Programs

Specialty exercise and medical nutrition programs for members with medical conditions including the following: cancer, cardiac disease, pulmonary conditions, vascular disease, diabetes, obesity, hypertension, high cholesterol, hyperlipidemia, metabolic disorders and neuromuscular disorders

Community Wellness

Towson University faculty and staff programs;
corporate fitness programs

Exercise Classes and Health Education

Group exercise classes and educational programs

Personal Training

Individualized and semi-private personal training
