FALL 2015 GROUP EXERCISE CLASSES


The Wellness Center offers a variety of group exercise classes designed to help you achieve a fit body and positive mind and spirit. We look forward to having you enroll in our fall group exercise classes. If you have any questions about these programs, please contact the Wellness Center at 410-704-4555. After registering, we will send a reply email with directions and confirmation of your class reservation(s). We review all registrations and may contact you for further information if needed. If we decide that a particular class is not a good fit, we will contact you to discuss other options.

Online registration will be available August 2015.

 

Ballroom Dance

Instructor: Carolyn
Dates: 10/5-11/30 (9 weeks)
Days: Mondays

Beginner/Intermediate I Time: 6:30-7:30pm

Intermediate/Advanced II Time: 7:30-8:30pm

Cost: Per Couple $ 150.00

60-minutes for Beginner and Advanced Classes for 9 weeks.
Beginner: Cha Cha, Waltz, Swing and Foxtrot
Intermediate/advanced: Samba and Waltz

Better Balance

Instructors: Bryant / Tiffany
Dates: 9/23-11/11 (8 weeks)
Days: Wednesday & Friday
Time: 9:00-9:30am

2X/WEEK: W-F

Cost: Wellness Center Members Only: FREE

30-minute balance focused class that strengthens the feet, ankles and legs; improves proprioception; strengthens core and helps maintain/restore neutral posture and alignment.

Boot Camp

60-minutes. Boot camp is a style of training that focuses on full body fitness including cardio, muscular endurance, range of motion/flexibility and weight loss. This 60-minute class is a great way to get fit, have fun and stay motivated with the help of your other teammates! You will leave with a high level of discipline for exercise and a healthier body!

30 minutes. Short on time? Then this class is perfect for your busy schedule! This 30-minute ‘hard core’ workout focuses on a combination of exercises that will not only hit the visible abdominal muscles but also the important deep inner core muscles in your torso, back, hips and pelvic floor to give you phenomenal stability.

Intro to Strength

60 minutes. This class is a prerequisite for success! This class is for beginners and those interested in receiving the benefits of resistance training. You receive complete instruction on technique and progression for each muscle group. Great way to increase energy, metabolism and confidence.

Spinning

Days: Thursday
Time: 6:00-7:00pm

60-minute cardiovascular ride designed to burn calories and keep your muscles in shape. Participants are guided through a warm-up, up-tempo cadences, sprints, climbs, and cool-down. Routines are varied every 6 weeks to keep things fresh. Participants determine their own levels of exertion, but your instructor will certainly encourage and motivate you to challenge yourself.

45-minute circuit workout designed to improve mobility, strength and stamina. Circuits consist of 6 to 10 strength exercises that are completed one exercise after another for a set time before moving on to the next exercise. The total number of circuits performed during a training session may vary.

Yoga

60 minutes. Hatha Yoga, a yoga style centered around gentle poses and energy breathing. Participants gradually reduce stress levels and improve flexibility as they progress through the 8-week series of classes.

50-minute, Latin-inspired, easy-to-follow, calorie-burning dance-fitness using the latest red-hot international music and choreography.
