Meeting Minutes
2/21/12
Meeting Start: 7:00 PM
- Opened with introductions of officers and members.
- Explanation of KDP’s involvement on campus
- Questions were asked and answered about the different levels of the education degree program.
- Christi shared a lesson that she taught in her classroom to help students learn how to read.
- Literacy Alive
- Location and Time TBD- depends on numbers of volunteers
- Will consist of children listening to a book, and then breaking up into workshops to better learn in a smaller group.
- Volunteers are still needed
- New website is up and running. More pictures are welcomed to be added.
- Also a Facebook group is up and running.
- Members are encouraged to bring friends and other members out to our events.
- Next meeting will be an ice cream social to encourage a larger turnout.
