Physical Education/Teacher Education Major

Towson University's physical education/teacher education major provides students with the opportunity to study the teaching of human movement. Students will be exposed to the development of the age-appropriate educational movement activities in the areas of fitness and skill development, games and sports, aquatics, gymnastics and dance. In each of these curriculum areas students will develop teaching strategies that will allow them to meet the needs of diverse learners from a psychomotor, cognitive and affective domain perspective.

Through the infusion of university General Education requirements, the sciences, and core courses in physical education, students are prepared to become competent teachers in physical education for elementary and secondary schools.
