The growth and development of the sport industry world-wide has created opportunities for management professionals in a wide variety of sport settings. Sport management is a unique interdisciplinary program that combines core courses in kinesiology with business courses offered through the College of Business and Economics. The kinesiology core allows students to gain a background in sport and its role in society through a study of sport history, sport psychology, individualized fitness, and management aspects unique to sport. Within the Department of Kinesiology students will also select a group of 15 units of upper-level electives to personalize the program of study to their specific interest area. Students may opt to complete a formal minor in business administration including accounting, micro- and macro economics, finance, marketing, and management.
