Transgender Day of Remembrance
Transgender Awareness Week takes place the second week of November each year to raise awareness and educate the public about transgender rights, issues, and experiences. During this week, students and faculty participate in panels, workshops, and other educational events in hopes of supporting and advocating for the transgender community. On November 20, supporters observe the International Transgender Day of Remembrance, dedicated to commemorating and honoring those individuals who have been murdered because of their gender identity or expression.
