The mission of the Office of Special Events is to advance Towson University’sstrategic plan by engaging the university's key constituents at events. The Office of Special Events manages the planning and execution of events hosted by the Office of the President and the Vice President for University Advancement as well as other campus events that directly support the university's mission, goals and priorities.

On September 4, TU cut the ribbon on the SECU Arena, new home to Tiger basketball, volleyball, gymnatistics and an exciting new venue for campus and community events. View video.
•President Loeschke hosted a pre-game reception for faculty and staff donors to the university on September 14 before the football home opener. View photos here..
•Over 400 faculty, staff and students attended the President's Fall Address on September 14, where President Loeschke shared the state of the university and presented the first President's Staff Award for Distinguished Service.
•TU celebrated the SECU Arena Grand Opening on September 4 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony prior to the Fall Involvement Fair.
