The Office of Special Events (OSE) supports Towson University’s mission and priorities through event engagement for both internal and external audiences. The OSE directly manages the planning and execution of events hosted by the Office of the President as well as significant university-wide
and high-profile events. The OSE also provides event planning guidelines and protocol for other university departments and programs in order to:
ensure event goals are realistic and consistent with the university’s mission, goals and priorities
maintain TU’s positive brand image
maintain appropriate internal communications and avoid scheduling conflicts
maximize event-appearance opportunities for the president
maximize university resources
ensure positive outcomes
The Office of Special Events promotes a collaborative approach towards special event planning on campus and, when involved, can provide other types of assistance to hosting departments.
