About Us

The mission of Towson University's Office of Special Events is to ensure that TU events advance the university's strategic plan, support the university's brand identity, engage our key constituents, showcase the university in unique and memorable ways and provide an exceptional Towson experience to our guests.

Our office manages the planning and execution of events hosted by the Office of the President and Vice President for University Advancement; donor recognition and cultivation events; major fundraisers and friend-raisers; and university-wide celebrations such as ground-breakings, ribbon-cuttings, namings and significant anniversaries.

The OSE also manages the president's exclusive venues--the Auburn House, the President's Suite at Johnny Unitas Stadium and the President's Suite at SECU Arena--which are used for cultivation of donors, potential donors and friends of the university.

The Presidential Ambassadors program was created and is managed by the OSE to connect students with the university's key constituents at special events and related university advancement activities.

Our staff are available to provide leadership and expertise to other departments in planning their special events and, when involved, can offer valuable assistance to campus planners depending on timing and availability of resources.
