The Towson University Office of Institutional Research is responsible for developing and disseminating statistical data and management information, conducting research studies, and providing analytical support required for university planning, policy formulation and decision making. The Office of Institutional Research is part of the Academic Resources and Planning unit of the Provost's Office.
Towson University's Office of Assessment is responsible for coordinating the university's academic assessment program. Working with the University Assessment Council and its subcommittees, it facilitates the campus-wide collection, analysis and use of assessment data to evaluate student learning outcomes and to support university planning; policy formulation and decision making; regional and professional accreditations; and state accountability and excellence mandates. The Office of Assessment is part of the Academic Resources and Planning unit of the Provost's Office.
