TOWSON, Md. (April 17, 2009)—Towson University will host a camp fair to promote summer camps offered as part of the university's Kids Campus program. The fair will be held on Thursday, April 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the University Union.
Representatives from each camp will be present at the fair with information and registration forms. Parents who enroll their children in a camp at the fair will receive a free gourmet lunch. Families will be entered to win a Tracfone—a prepaid wireless cell phone by Motorola—with 60 free minutes.
Towson University’s campus is an exciting environment for boys and girls, with a variety of programs designed with their needs and interests in mind. Whether your children want to learn about science or the arts, hone their athletic skills or bolster their reading abilities, Towson University provides the resources for success. All summer camps have a rolling application system and registration will close once maximum capacity is reached, so early application is recommended.

Provides enrichment for children of exceptional intellectual ability. The program does not attempt to accelerate skill development in curriculum areas; rather, the instructional focus is on extending children's existing fund of knowledge through first-hand and creative experiences.
Provides a creative experience that encourages imagination while developing art skills. Students discover new ways to see and express a world of both form and fantasy. Includes drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture/clay and mixed media. Children also explore the world of art by touring area art museums and visiting various sites for drawing on location.

Summer Institute for the Performing and Digital Arts
Experience excellent instruction by our faculty while developing new skills and having fun! Students utilize the new and up-to-date facilities at Towson University’s Center for the Arts and the Media Center. Programs include Musical Theatre Camp, Motion Picture Makers Camp, Sound Makers Digital Audio Camp and a Digital Photography and Publishing Camp.
An academic enrichment writing workshop for youngsters grades 2 to 12 who enjoy writing and want to learn more about the writer’s craft. This program encourages ownership of the child’s writing and is evaluated by both teachers and peers.
