Make a great first impression at the Career Fair

More than 150 employers to be on hand Thursday

BALTIMORE (Feb. 22, 2006)—If you are a student or alumnus looking for a new job, consider stopping by the Central Maryland College Career Fair.

More than 150 employers will be available to meet with prospective applicants at the annual event being held at the Towson Center between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday.

Many of these employers also participate in the On-Campus Recruiting Program at the Career Center following the fair. This year, employers include BB&T Bank, Entrequest, Sandy Spring Bank, NVR Homes, Pepsi Bottling Co., Northwestern Mutual, Progressive Insurance, Commercial One Financial, U. S. Census Bureau, AXA Advisors, Met Life and Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Towson has hosted the annual career fair for more than 25 years, making it accessible for students and alumni. Attendance ranges from 1,500 to 3,000 candidates each year.

The event is sponsored by the Maryland Career Consortium, whose members include TU, College of Notre Dame of Maryland, Coppin State College, Goucher College, Johns Hopkins University, Loyola College, Morgan State University, Mount Saint Mary’s, University of Baltimore and UMBC
