TOWSON, Md. (April 6, 2006)—Shohreh Kaynama has been appointed dean of the College of Business and Economics, Provost James Brennan announced Thursday.
Kaynama has served as dean of CBE on a three-year appointment beginning in January 2003 after a year as interim dean. She is an alumna of Towson, completing a B.S. in marketing in 1976. She received her MBA from the University of Baltimore in 1978, and a Ph.D. in marketing from the George Washington University in 1991.
Kaynama joined Towson’s Department of Marketing as an instructor in 1984, and she progressed through the faculty ranks, to become a full professor of marketing and e-Business in 2000. Her research focuses on organizational change and contextual marketing, and she has a consistent record of peer-reviewed journal publications as well as numerous presentations at professional meetings and to general audiences.
