Towson University introduces community Web site 'TU in the Community' showcases news, events and information of interest to university neighbors
TOWSON, Md. (Oct. 21, 2009)—The Office of the President of Towson University has launched TU in the Community, a new Web site designed to enhance communication between TU and its closest neighbors.
Marina Cooper, assistant to the president for external relations and communications, said the site is part of a community relations effort involving the communities immediately surrounding the campus.
"We launched TU in the Community to create a central location for TU data, news, reports, policies, calendars, campus activities and community engagement initiatives that most interest them," she said.
The site includes three sections: Community Relations Initiatives; Campus News and Calendars; and Resources, Reports and Policies.
Visitors to the TU homepage can access TU in the Community by clicking on the "Community and Families" link.
