TU to test emergency warning siren on Saturday a.m.
BALTIMORE (October 30, 2007)—Towson University will test an emergency warning siren/
public-address system on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to noon.
The test is being conducted to determine whether a warning siren and public-address system would be an effective means of notifying students, faculty and staff if a campus-wide emergency
were to occur.
This vendor-conducted test also is expected to be audible in the neighborhoods nearest the campus. It may also be heard far beyond campus perimeters.
This is only a test; the public should not be alarmed.
