TOWSON, Md. (June 29, 2009)—Do you have a way with words? This is your chance to create a new Towson tradition. TU is seeking a student, faculty or staff member, alum, or friend of the university to write the lyrics for the new Towson fight song. The winning lyricist will be awarded $500.
The music for the fight song has already been selected and a recording is available on the TU band Web site—just listen to the score and pen some lyrics with your own personal touch. Lyrics may be submitted in a Word document or audio file format.
Please note that the lyrics must be an original composition and, if selected, all rights will be transferred to Towson University. The university reserves final artistic authority and may request revisions.
