H1N1 vaccine available to TU students, faculty, staff and certain family members on Dec. 9
TOWSON, Md. (Dec. 3, 2009)—Eligibility for the H1N1 flu vaccine has been extended to include all Towson University students, faculty and staff, and certain immediate family members of TU faculty and staff including:
caregivers or parents of infants less than 6 months old (must provide documentation of child’s age)
health care or emergency medical personnel with direct patient contact (must provide documentation)
children of TU faculty or staff between the ages of 10 and 24 (because of different dosage requirements, we will not vaccinate children under 10 years of age)
pregnant women (must provide documentation if pregnancy is not obvious to the casual observer)
family members between 25 and 64 years of age with a chronic medical condition (for example: epilepsy; cancer; asthma; diabetes; heart, lung, liver or kidney disease; neuromuscular disorders such as MS or muscular dystrophy) or weakened immune systems from illness or medications.
Vaccination clinic hours for family members of faculty or staff will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Family members must be accompanied by a faculty/staff member with a TU OneCard or other valid photo ID.
Clinic hours for TU faculty, staff and students will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The clinic will take place in the gym in Burdick Hall.
Be sure to bring your TU OneCard and/or a valid photo ID.
