Towson University, Harford Community College showcase transfer opportunities
Open House scheduled for Oct. 12
TOWSON, Md. (Oct. 9, 2006)—Towson University and Harford Community College have partnered to create seamless transfer opportunities between HCC associate degree programs and Towson University’s baccalaureate degree programs as well as graduate degree programs at the Higher Education and Conference Center at HEAT.
The transfer Open House, “Preparing for Professions in Allied Health, Science, and Education,” will be held on Thursday, October 12, 5–7 p.m., in HCC’s Edgewood Hall, Room 132. The Open House will promote articulated programs in Allied Health, Science and Education. Representatives from both institutions will be available to answer questions.
An official signing of the memorandum of intent for articulation programs by Dr. Robert Caret, president of Towson University, and Dr. James LaCalle, president of Harford Community College, is scheduled for October 16 and will ensure maximum transfer credit between degree programs and confirm the acceptance of transfer credits from Harford Community College to specific Towson programs, with an emphasis on mathematics, science, and education. The signing will take place at 4 p.m. in Harford’s Chesapeake Center.
Towson University and Harford Community College are committed to working cooperatively to expand their educational partnership to improve access to educational opportunities for the citizens of northeast Maryland. This educational endeavor further defines the operational relationships in support of the goals of the Higher Education and Conference Center at HEAT.
