Winning projects to be chosen at open screenings this week
TOWSON, Md. (April 20, 2010)—The Department of Electronic Media and Film will host the 2010 Student Media Arts Festival on select evenings from April 22 through May 1in the Van Bokkelen Hall auditorium. This year's festival will also mark the 10th anniversary of the EMF department, with an anniversary bash scheduled at the culmination of the festival on May 1.
Finalists for this year's Media Arts Festival will be judged during open screenings on April 22, 23 and 26 at 7 p.m. in the Van Bokkelen Hall auditorium. Winners will be selected in the categories of TV/news, music video, corporate video, viral video, narrative, trailer/PSA/commercial, direction, shorts, documentary, audio documentary, audio narrative, and sound and image.
Winning entries will be screened at the "Best of the Festival" event on May 1. Awards will be presented immediately following the screening.
