Graduate Lecture Series presents 'Me the Media'

Oct. 26 program to focus on media and communication in the age of Web 2.0

TOWSON, Md. (Oct. 19, 2009)—Towson University's Graduate Lecture Series returns for fall 2009 with "Me the Media: Rise of the Conversation Society" on Monday, Oct. 26 in the University Union Potomac Lounge. A reception will be held at 6:30 p.m., with the lecture and question-and-answer session to follow at 7 p.m.

Guest speaker Erik van Ommeren, director for innovation at Sogeti USA, will discuss how the Internet and two-way media have revolutionized communication. Topics will include Web 2.0, social networking and augmented reality, and the applications of each in industry and society.
