New university bank features seven ATMs and a full-service branch on campus
TOWSON, Md. (Oct. 17, 2011)—On Tuesday, Oct. 18, PNC Bank N.A. hosted a grand opening ceremony for its full-service bank branch in TU's University Union.
PNC Bank became Towson’s official on-campus bank in August of this year. In addition to branch and teller services, the University Union location features two advanced-function ATMs, capable of accepting deposits and cashing checks to the dollar.
As part of the partnership, PNC Bank also provides financial education for Towson’s more than 21,000 students, faculty and staff through on-site workshops on topics such as basic banking, credit management, savings and investing, identity protection and home buying.
Other features available to the TU community include seven on-campus ATMs—located in the University Union, Administration Building, Newell Dining Hall, Towson Center, Hawkins Hall and West Village Commons—as well as personal banking products and services, mobile and text banking options, and Virtual Wallet® Student, an online banking solution designed to help college students strengthen their money management skills.
“Towson is one of the region’s best regarded and fastest growing universities,” says Louis R. Cestello, PNC regional president for Greater Maryland. “Working together, we will deliver to students, faculty and staff the financial services and support to help them manage their money as they work to achieve their financial goals and objectives.”
