TOWSON, Md. (Sept. 25, 2009)—Towson University will conduct a test of its emergency warning siren and public-address system on Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009 from 9:55 to 10:15 a.m.
The test will determine whether TU’s warning siren and public address system is functioning properly. The system is designed to notify students, faculty and staff if a campus-wide emergency were to occur. The emergency warning system will only be activated when a true emergency is imminent or takes place.
This test is also expected to be audible beyond campus perimeters, particularly in the neighborhoods nearest the campus.
This is only a test; the public should not be alarmed.
