TU supports Virginia Tech

Vigil to be held at 5 p.m. today

TOWSON, Md. (April 17, 2007)—Monday was a sad day for college campuses across the nation.  The senseless loss of young lives at Virginia Tech is difficult to comprehend and deal with emotionally.  We all want to help yet feel helpless to do so. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the Virginia Tech campus community as well as parents and neighbors. Towson University stands ready to assist and comfort our friends and colleagues at Virginia Tech any way we can. This tragedy touches us all.

Please join us for a vigil on Tuesday, April 17, at 5 p.m. in the University Union Chesapeake Room as our campus community comes together to mourn, remember and honor those lost during this tragic event.

Counselors with the TU Counseling Center will be available over the next few days for all members of the TU community. Students, faculty and staff may walk in as needed, or call 410-704-2512 for an appointment.
