TOWSON, Md. (Jan. 9, 2008)—The Towsontown Garage addition opened for use at Towson University on Jan. 7, providing an additional 580 parking spaces to the core campus area.
The parking spaces are available to faculty, staff, students and visitors as designated in parking signs throughout the garage. The parking allows for easy access to the university’s main academic quad and provides convenient parking for the upcoming College of Liberal Arts building. Phase one of the CLA building is expected to open in spring 2009.
The garage expansion kicked off in March 2007 as part of the university’s 2010 initiative. In addition to increasing the number of parking spaces at the university, the project produced lighting and structural improvements as well as the renovation of the Glen Stream.
