TU announces Ravens Day

Campus ‘goes purple’ Friday, January 12

TOWSON, Md. (Jan. 9, 2007)—Towson University’s traditional colors may be black and gold, but on Friday, Jan. 12, the TU campus will sport a noticeably different hue: purple.

In support of this weekend’s divisional playoff contest against the Indianapolis Colts, and in concurrence with the Ravens’ “Purple Friday” and the city of Baltimore’s “light the city purple” campaigns, Towson University is proud to declare this Friday “TU Ravens Day.”

Formerly white lights will shine purple in certain areas of the campus, and TU faculty and staff will don Baltimore’s favorite color as the university community shows support for the hometown team.
