Towson University has a distinguished history in the preparation of classroom teachers and education specialists. That preparation extends to teachers who are already working in the classroom. We have several opportunities for current teachers to enhance their skills and develop as educators.
The Maryland Technology Academy is designed to provide Maryland's K-16 teachers with professional development in using technology to enhance student learning. Teachers at all levels can join the Maryland Writing Project to improve their writing skills. The TU Professional Development School (PDS) Network combines theory and research to help prepare and sustain the abilities of teachers to teach well.
