Arts & Entertainment
At Towson, boredom is a foreign concept. From intimate guest lectures to stadium-size performances featuring big-name bands, there's always something new to do.
Activities and Entertainment
It all begins the instant you set foot on campus. We kick off each semester with a month-long welcome-back extravaganza—September Celebration in the fall and FebFest in the spring—featuring movie screenings, stand-up comedy, live music and much more. The fun continues throughout the year with film series, guest lectures, game nights, planetarium shows, Friday Night Live entertainment events, and a host of activities sponsored by student clubs and organizations.
Of course, every top entertainment venue needs a headliner. Ours is TigerFest. For one day every spring, Johnny Unitas Stadium is transformed into TU's signature music festival, drawing up to 10,000 students and community members for a full day of live music from national acts like Brand New, The Roots and N*E*R*D featuring Pharrell.
Arts and Culture
Are the fine arts more your thing? The doors are always open at our Center for the Arts, home to more than 200 fine arts and entertainment performances each year. Jazz ensembles, ballet, student-produced plays, and full productions of Broadway musicals such as Rent are just a few of the many arts events that take place almost every night of week. You'll also want to take a stroll through one of our many art galleries, such as the Asian Arts & Culture Center, which boast a number of special exhibitions.
