Your Admissions Counselor: Dave Fedorchak
Here’s what I love about Towson’s location.
Towson is so close to so much—sporting events, the Inner Harbor, parks, concert venues, and of course, Washington, D.C. There’s always something to do. You can experience things here that other university locations might not offer.
Our students bring a world of diverse experience to campus.
We have athletes, musicians, dancers, innovators, environmentalists, teachers, leaders … the list goes on and on. Towson students represent so many backgrounds and experiences—you’ll learn just as much from your peers as you will from your professors.
What I like most about my job.
I enjoy meeting people who have never heard of Towson and providing them with the right information to spark their interest in TU.
Something you may not know about Towson.
The university was founded in 1866 as a teacher’s college. Back then, we had 11 students and a faculty of three. Today we have over 21,000 students and 1,600 professors.
My advice to anyone who’s applying.
The colleges you apply to should meet your expectations in five areas: academics, location, size, people and opportunities outside the classroom. Make sure to visit the schools you apply to, and narrow your list according to what feels right for you. Don’t forget to follow through with your applications to ensure that you have provided all materials on time.
My "warm and fuzzy" moment.
I love building a relationship with a family while helping them make this important choice. It’s personally fulfilling to be there for them throughout the decision-making process and beyond.
