Your Admissions Counselor: Loryn Strauzer
My personal experiences helped prepare me for my job..
Being significantly older than my little sister has finally paid off—I get to go through the college admissions process all over again! Of course, you may be wondering why anyone would want to go through this again. The answer is that I now understand exactly what our students are going through, and it makes me a better counselor.
This is a great place to study, work or play..
I really appreciate all Towson has to offer. Baltimore recently was ranked one of the top 10 college towns in America. With more than a dozen other colleges nearby and Baltimore’s Inner Harbor only 15 minutes away, there’s always something to do—and plenty of other students to do it with.
Here's something you may not know about Towson..
More than five percent of the total electricity used at Towson University comes from renewable resources. Ten percent of Towson University’s solid waste is incinerated and used to produce electricity for use on campus.
My advice to anyone who's applying..
Choosing a college is a big decision and this can be a stressful time. Always remember that the admissions staff is here and willing to help answer any questions you may have. My colleagues and I always look forward to meeting prospective students, either at their high schools or on campus visits.
My "warm and fuzzy" moment..
I once worked with a student who was seeking admission to Towson, then met her again as she was about to graduate. She told me about all the doors Towson had opened for her and said that, because of her experiences, she hoped to become an admissions counselor.
