The To-Do List information below is for students entering fall 2011. Information for students entering fall 2012 will be available in mid-April.
As a TU student it is essential that you carry a OneCard, the official university
identification card. You should not wait until the start of classes
to obtain your OneCard because it is needed to gain entrance to all residence
halls and to access meals through your dining plan.
You can get your OneCard by visiting the Auxiliary Services Business
Office, University Union 110. Be sure to bring a photo ID (driver’s license,
passport or state-issued ID) with you. A Student Services Video and additional
information are available online at the OneCard website.
You can use your OneCard to dine on and off campus if you have a
dining plan or dining/retail points, borrow books from the library, and
gain door access to computer and photo labs and all residence facilities.
You will also enjoy free or reduced-price admission to sporting and
cultural events.
There are two OneCard spending accounts that permit
you to make cashless purchases on campus:
The OneCard Dining Points Account can be used for cashless purchases for food at all campus dining locations.
The Retail/Vending Points Account is used at the University Store
for cashless purchases of textbooks, class supplies, clothing, gift items,
recreational reading materials, snack items and toiletries. All washers
and dryers in the university’s residence facilities accept OneCard Retail/Vending Points. At the Dowell Health Center, Retail/Vending Points can
be used to pay for lab tests, shots or prescriptions. At CopiesPlus they
can be used to pay for copies. You can also use your OneCard Retail
Points at numerous off-campus merchants. Deposits to both accounts
can be made anytime of the year online at the OneCard website,
http://onecard.towson.edu, or in person at the Auxiliary Services
Business Office, University Union 110.
Online Account Management allows you to check your account
balances 24 hours a day. Best of all, with your permission, your family
members can log on to your account and make deposits directly using
a credit card. Sign up for online account management as soon as you
receive your OneCard. For more information or questions about the
OneCard accounts, visit http://onecard.towson.edu.
Your OneCard account money is safe at Towson! Your unused balances
in both your Dining Points and Retail/Vending Points accounts roll over
from one semester to the next—from one year to another. You will
just need to be sure to use all of your Dining Points prior to leaving
the university.
