Step 8: Get Your OneCardDeadline: July 31Contact: Auxiliary Services - 410-704-2726 |
As a TU student it is essential that you carry a OneCard, the official university identification card. You should not wait until the start of classes because your card is needed to gain entrance to all residence halls and to access meals through your meal plan.
We strongly recommend you obtain your OneCard before July 31. You should not wait until move-in weekend because your card is needed to gain entrance to some residence halls and to access meals through your meal plan. If you live nearby or can visit campus, plan on visiting the OneCard office this summer.
If you live in the Baltimore-Washington, DC area, you can avoid long lines at orientation and obtain your OneCard by planning a visit to TU during the summer.
If you live more than an hour from campus there is no need to make a special trip. Although you may encounter lines during orientation, you can obtain your OneCard during check-in.
You can get your OneCard by visiting the Auxiliary Services Business Office, University Union 110. Be sure to bring a photo ID (driver’s license, passport or state-issued ID) with you. A Student Services Video and additional information are available online at the One Card Web site.
You will use your OneCard to dine on and off campus if you have a meal plan or dining/retail points, borrow books from the library, and gain door access to computer and photo labs and all residence facilities. You will also enjoy free or reduced-price admission to sporting and cultural events.
The OneCard Dining Points Account can be used for cashless purchases for food from all campus dining locations.
The Retail/Vending Points Account is used at the University Store for cashless purchases of textbooks, class supplies, clothing, gift items, recreational reading materials, snack items and toiletries. All washers and dryers in the university’s residence facilities accept OneCard Retail/Vending Points. At the Dowell Health Center, Retail/Vending Points can be used to pay for lab tests, shots or prescriptions. At CopiesPlus they can be used to pay for copies. You can also use your OneCard Retail Points at numerous off-campus merchants. Deposits to both accounts can be made anytime of the year online at the OneCard Web site or in person at the Auxiliary Services Business Office, University Union 110.
Online Account Management allows you to check your account balances 24 hours a day. Best of all, with your permission, your family members can log on to your account and make deposits directly using a credit card. Sign up for online account management as soon as you receive your OneCard. For more information or questions about the OneCard accounts, visit the One Card Web SIte.
Your OneCard account money is safe at Towson! Your unused balances in both your Dining Points and Retail/Vending Points accounts roll over from one term to the next— from one year to another. You will just need to be sure to use all of your Dining Points prior to leaving the university.
