Freshman Transition Program To-Do List

In order to make your transition to TU and CCBC as smooth as possible, we have created the 2011 Towson University/Community College of Baltimore County Freshman Transition Program To-Do List with important tasks for you to complete before you start classes.  We encourage you to visit campus over the summer to take care of the items on your To-Do List. 

• Freshman Transition Program

If you have questions about your To-Do List and don't know which department to contact, please call New Student Programs at 410-704-2309 or e-mail newstudentprograms@towson.edu.

Complete these items during May and June:

Step 1:  Submit Participation Agreement and $300 Fee

 Deadline: May 2 (or 10 business days from the date on your

 admission  letter, whichever is later)

Step 2:  Complete Online University Housing Request and $350 Deposit

 Deadline: May 2

Step 3:  Complete TU Immunization Requirements

 Deadline: June 1 (or within 4 weeks of receiving this packet)

Step 4:  Activate NetID

 Deadline: June 1

Step 5:  Request TU Disability Support Services (if applicable)

 Deadline: ASAP

Step 6:  Register for TU Emergency Text Messaging

 Deadline: ASAP

Step 7:  Direct FAFSA to CCBC

               Deadline: ASAP

Step 8:  Register for CCBC Automatic Payment Plan and Towson Deferred Payment

 Plan

 Deadline: ASAP

Step 9:  Purchase or Change TU Dining Plan

 Deadline: June 15

Complete these items during July:

Step 10:  Learn About TU Student Organizations

    Deadline: July 1 (suggested)

Step 11: Register for myCCBC Account and Review First Semester Class Schedule

    Deadline: July 1

Step 12:  Submit Final Official High School Transcript to TU

    Deadline: July 15

Step 13:  Get Your TU One Card

    Deadline: July 29 (suggested)

Complete these items during August:

Step 14:  Pay CCBC Tuition Bill and Towson Student Services Bill

    Deadline: August 2

Step 15:  Complete TU Housing Vaccine and Move-In Requirements

    Deadline: August 12

Step 16:  Complete TU Online AlcoholEdu Prevention Program

    Deadline: August 24

Step 17:  Determine TU Parking Eligibility

    Deadline: August 19

Step 18:  Attend "Welcome to Towson" Orientation Events

    Deadline: August 27-30

Step 19:  Attend TU Disability Support Services Orientation

    Deadline: August 27
