FALL 2013 FRESHMAN TO-DO LIST

Complete Housing Vaccine and Move-In Requirements -
Deadline: August 9
Contact: Housing and Residence Life – 410-704-2516

Complete your Meningococcal (Meningitis) Vaccine Requirements

A meningitis vaccine is required for all students living in on-campus housing (including students living in Millennium Hall, Paca House and Tubman House).

This form is separate from the Pre-Entrance Health Immunization Form that you must also complete.

The Meningoccal Vaccine/Waiver Form is available at the Dowell Health Center Website. The vaccine is available at Dowell Health Center and can be billed to your tuition account or your private insurance at your request.

PLEASE DO NOT RETURN YOUR MENINGITIS FORM TO DOWELL HEALTH CENTER.

The Department of Housing and Residence Life or Capstone Management must receive your completed Meningococcal (Meningitis) Vaccine Form by August 9. State law requires this form to be on file BEFORE you can move into your room.

Your Housing Assignment

If you completed the online University Housing Request and submitted the required $350 deposit, your housing assignment will be emailed to your Towson email account by August 9. This email will contain your housing assignment, the name(s) and phone number(s) of your roommate(s), and other information about housing, moving in and housing vaccine requirements. Your housing packet will also contain your campus mailbox number. As a resident student you are assigned a mailbox in the Mail and Distribution Office located in the University Union. Mailboxes for students residing in Towson Run, Millennium Hall, Paca House, Tubman House, Barton House and Douglass House are located in their respective residence halls. Once you receive your housing assignment letter, you’ll want to begin communicating with your roommate(s) to get things off to a friendly start. You may also want to coordinate what each of you will bring when you move in.

Move-In Information

All new students who will be living on campus are welcome to move into their assigned residence halls on August 24, from 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Room assignments and move-in information will be emailed to your Towson email account by August 9.

Visit Housing and Residence Life for more information about what items to and not to bring, building descriptions, roommates, dining and more.
