FALL 2014 FRESHMAN TO-DO LIST

Get Your OneCard - Deadline: July 30 (suggested)
Contact: OneCard Office ● 410-704-2530

As a TU student, it’s essential that you carry a OneCard, the official university identification card. You should not wait until the start of classes to obtain your OneCard because you’ll need it to gain entrance to all residence halls and to access meals through your dining plan. You can get your OneCard by visiting the Auxiliary Services Business Office, University Union 110. Be sure to bring a photo ID (driver’s license, passport or state-issued ID) with you.

If you cannot visit the University during the summer, please plan to get your OneCard on move-in day.

You can use your OneCard to dine on or off campus (if you have a meal plan or dining/retail points), borrow books from the library, and gain door access to computer and photo labs and all residence facilities. You will also enjoy free or reduced-price admission to sporting and cultural events.

There are two OneCard spending accounts that permit you to make purchases on campus:

The OneCard Dining Points Account can be used for cashless purchases for food at all campus dining locations.

The Retail/Vending Points Account is used at the University Store for cashless purchases of textbooks, class supplies, clothing, gift items, recreational reading materials, snack items and toiletries. All washers and dryers in the university’s residence facilities accept OneCard Retail/Vending Points. At the Dowell Health Center, Retail/Vending Points can be used to pay for lab tests, shots or prescriptions. At CopiesPlus they can be used to pay for copies. You can also use your OneCard Retail Points at numerous off-campus merchants.

Deposits to both accounts can be made anytime online at the OneCard website or in person at the Auxiliary Services Business Office, University Union 110.

Online Account Management allows you to check your account balances 24 hours a day. Best of all, with your permission, your family members can log in to your account and make deposits directly using a credit card. Sign up for online account management as soon as you receive your OneCard. For more information or questions about OneCard accounts, visit the OneCard website.

Your OneCard account money is safe at Towson! Your unused balances in both your Dining Points and Retail/Vending Points accounts roll over from one term to the next—from one year to another. You will just need to be sure to use all of your Dining Points prior to leaving the university.
