Step 4: Finalize Honors College Admission      Deadline: June 8 Contact:  Honors College - 410-704-4677

The information below pertains to students entering fall 2009. Information for students entering fall 2010 will be available during April 2010.

If you have received an offer of admission from the Honors College, you must take the following steps to finalize your admission: 

• Sign and return your Honors College Admission Agreement and your Honors College Orientation Confirmation (included in the enclosed booklet).  Your Honors College admission agreement must be postmarked by June 8, 2009 in order for you to join the Honors College for fall 2009.
• Accept your Honors College scholarship.  (See Accept Financial Aid Package link).
• Request honors courses on your Academic Interest Form.  Honors courses are identified in the Towson University Undergraduate Catalog in italics.  (See Complete Academic Interest Form link).
• If you prefer to live in honors housing in Richmond or Newell Halls, be sure to request it on your housing contract by May 1, 2009.  Requests for honors housing cannot be guaranteed after May 1, 2009. 
• Activate your Student Computing and E-mail Account. After June 1, 2009, the Honors College will use your student computing and e-mail account to communicate important information to you.  (See Activate Computing and E-mail Account link.)

Honors College Orientation Confirmation

Congratulations on your acceptance into the Honors College at Towson University.  If you are accepting our offer to join the Honors College, you are required to attend our Honors College Orientation.  The Honors College Orientation will take place from 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6 through 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 7. Please complete the Honors College Orientation Confirmation PDF below and return it to the Honors College, 8000 York Road, Towson, MD 21252-0001

The Honors College Orientation is a great opportunity for you to meet your peers, acclimate to the Towson University campus and the Honors College, learn about Honors College requirements and your first year experience, meet some honors faculty and staff, and much more. 

The Honors College Orientation is not all work- we play, too!  On Thursday night you will have a chance to get to know some current honors students, hang out, watch movies, and play pool in one of our campus “hot spots,” PAWS. 

Housing and meals will be provided for you.  Students will be housed on campus at the Glen Complex Residence Hall, Tower A. Please plan to bring your own linens (i.e. sheets, towels).  

Please remember to activate your Towson University e-mail account as we will be sending reminders and important information to that e-mail account only.  Additional information about Honors College Orientation, including a detailed schedule of events, will be sent to you in July.  In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 410-704-4677 or e-mail us at honors@towson.edu.
