Freshman To-Do List

In order to make your transition to TU as smooth as possible, we have created the 2011 Freshman To-Do List with important tasks for you to complete before you start classes in August. We encourage you to visit campus over the summer to take care of the items on your To-Do  List.

Complete these items during June:

Step 1:    Submit Enrollment Contract and $300 Fee

    Deadline: May 2 (or 10 business days from the date on your Offer of    

    Admission letter, whichever is later)

Step 2:     Complete Online University Housing Request and Submit $350 Deposit

                  Deadline: May 2

Step 3:     Complete Immunization Requirements

                  Deadline: June 1 (or within 4 weeks of receiving this packet)

Step 4:     Activate Your NetID

                  Deadline: June 1

Step 5:     Complete Academic Interest Form

                  Deadline: June 1

Step 6:     Finalize Enrollment in the Honors College

                  Deadline: June 1

Step 7:     Schedule Placement Testing

                  Deadline: Within two weeks of notification letter

Step 8:     Accept Financial Aid Package

                  Deadline: Within two weeks of notification letter

Step 9:     Request Disability Support Services

                  Deadline: ASAP

Step 10:   Register for Emergency Text Messaging

                  Deadline: ASAP

Complete these items during July:

Step 11:    Learn About Student Organizations 

      Deadline: July 1 (suggested)

Step 12:    Review Your Online Fall Term Bill

      Deadline: July 20

Step 13:    Get Your OneCard 

      Deadline: July 29 (suggested)

Complete these items during August:

Step 14:    Complete Housing Vaccine and Move-In Requirements  

      Deadline: August 12

Step 15:    Complete Online AlcoholEDU Prevention Program  

      Deadline: August 24

Step 16:    Submit Final Official High School Transcript 

      Deadline: August 19

Step 17:    Determine Parking Eligibility

      Deadline: August 19

Step 18:    Attend "Welcome to Towson" Orientation Events

      Deadline: August 27-30

Step 19:    Attend Disability Support Services Orientation (if applicable)

      Deadline: August 27

Complete these items during September:

Step 20:    Pay Tuition Bill  

      Deadline: September 9

Step 21:    Purchase or Change Dining Plan 

      Deadline: September 9
