What advice would you give to new students?
"Try something new! I say this because I never worked at a TV station until college, and now I'm a TV/video major. I found out it's what I really like to do. Towson is a great school for people who aren’t sure of what they want to study because there are so many options."
Have you studied abroad?
"I studied abroad in Australia in spring 2006 at Bond University in Queensland. It was one of the most amazing times of my life. My first day in Australia we went to the Great Barrier Reef for orientation and snorkeling.
"A typical day in Australia was similar to Towson in that I went to class, gym, dining hall, but it was with different people in 105 degree weather. I learned to be more aware of other cultures and to respect and embrace the differences."
What are your plans for this summer?
"I just got a summer job working for the Orioles as a production assistant. Basically I'll be doing pre-production work. I'm also going to choose the people who sing the national anthem. I got the interview for this job through a job fair at Towson."

Do you have time for a part-time job during the school year?
"I've worked for the Office of Student Activities since fall 2005. I answer phones and questions students have about activities on campus. I work closely with Greek Life, the Campus Activities Board and the Student Government Association. I’m also a Student Ambassador and give tours of campus for prospective students."
What do you do on weekends?
"I’ll usually have friends over and we’ll watch movies, play games and party. Sometimes I’ll go to parties off campus or go to Towson to the restaurants and bars, or to the mall. Occasionally we’ll go on a random road tip. Our latest was to Philly to get cheese steaks. We fit seven people in my mini van, left at 10 p.m., got cheese steaks, went to the Philadelphia Museum of Art where Rocky was filmed, and came back at 3 a.m."
Where do you live at TU? What is it like?
"I live in Towson Run Apartments with seven other girls. We have four bedrooms with two people to a room. It’s fun because there’s always something crazy going on, even though I never really get any alone time. We leave notes to each other on the message board on our fridge about apartment meetings, doing the dishes, secret santa, and other girl stuff! I love living there. It’s taught me a lot about sharing and respecting other people."
