APPLICATION/checklist for transfer students

Applications are closed for fall 2009.

You can download and print an application in PDF format or call us at 1-888-4TOWSON to have one mailed to you. For faster processing, you should complete an application online. It takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and can be saved. Once you’ve completed the online application, you will receive an electronic confirmation of your submission. Processing time, from receipt of the application to mailing a decision letter, ranges from four to six weeks. 

If you’re interested in applying to the Honors College, be sure to complete the Honors College Application in addition to your TU Application.

 

Checklist for Transfer Applicants

Box graphic Fee and Fee Waivers 

Along with your completed application, you should also send the fee of $45. The application fee is neither deferrable nor refundable. If you apply online, you will be able to pay the application fee with a credit card.   

Box graphic College Transcripts

You should also make sure that the Office of Admissions receives your official transcript from each school you've attended. A high school transcript is also required for transfer applicants who have earned fewer than 30 credits.

Box graphic Standardized Test Scores

Standardized test scores are not required for transfer applicants unless you have earned fewer than 30 credits at your current institution.

Box graphic Essay

Submitting an essay with your Towson application is optional. However, if you decide to apply to the Honors College, an essay will be required.
