TU CARES for Transfer Students
Based on your academic records, you may be required to take placement
tests which will assess your basic skills in reading, writing and mathematics.
If testing is required, the Placement Testing Office will contact you about
testing dates and which of three sections you need to take: College Board’s
ACCUPLACER® online reading comprehension, writing and/or elementary
algebra tests. A placement testing notification letter:

Placement test results: Placement test results will appear on the computer screen at the end of the test, and students should receive a hard copy from the test adminstrator. Transfer students are responsible for including any required placements in their schedule for the fall term, since all placement requirements must be completed within the first two terms of enrollment at TU. If minimum scores are not obtained, you will be required to complete one or more refresher course(s). These courses may not count toward the 120 units necessary for graduation.
