On-Campus Resident Students

Students have many options available to get to and from campus. In addition to your personal vehicle, the University offers several alternative transportation programs including shuttle services to many local apartment complexes and residential areas.  For more information on alternative transportation programs and shuttle services, please visit the Parking and Transportation website.

Should you wish to have a car on campus, please review the information below regarding eligibility and the process to purchase a parking permit.

All vehicles parked on the campus must have a valid Towson University permit from 6 am to 8 pm, Monday through Thursday and 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.  If you are eligible for and planning to purchase a parking permit, please visit the Parking and Transportation website (click on Permits) to purchase a virtual permit.  Please ensure you have a valid permit prior to the first time you will be parking on campus.  Please take time to review the parking rules and regulations to make sure you understand where your parking areas are located.

Off-Campus/Commuting Students Parking

If you are planning to live off campus, you will eligible for either a Commuter permit or an Overflow permit based on the number of completed credit hours.

On-Campus Resident Students

If you will be living on campus and you have more than 30 completed credits, you will be eligible to obtain a Resident parking permit.  Your parking assignment will be based on your housing assignment and the availability of parking spaces in a particular lot.

If you will be a Freshman on-campus resident (resident students with less than 30 completed units) you will only be eligible to obtain a West Village Resident permit.
